Not-homemade Polish donuts

Thanks everybody for nice comments while I was away. So we are back from visiting my folks in the big city and it's Fat Thursday here, in Poland, today. The Day to eat "pączki" (Polish donuts). I was going to make them myself but I'm still stepping over unpacked suitcases and there is another pile of laundry to do. Plus, I'm not sure if my donuts would have turned out that much better. So, this morning, Julian went around the corner and got six. The more donuts you can eat - the more prosperity will come your way...tradition has it.

Changing the subject... The Cat (that's her name) went with us on the trip. My parents didn't mind having her around at all. And she managed the six-hour drive quite well...with some stops to stretch her little legs.

And then...we arrived home. The hyacinths were in full bloom and the whole house smelled like flowers.
