I'm getting quite comfortable making Italian breads and quite fond of it.
Just after I said that summer fruit is better when straight from the bush, I came across this recipe.
I get nervous when I don't bake anything for too long, usually two days.
The key to a successful potato salad is cook potatoes in advance, well in advance. Even if I over-cook the vegetable (it happens every time I use my pressure cooker), if I leave it alone for long enough, the potato will still come out firm and tasty.
Summer fruit cakes. I don't make many. I think Summer delicate fruit tastes better when not cooked or baked. And another thing is that we don't have time to get tired of it. It - blended with cream and sugar. It seems that this is all I do this time of the year. Stand by the sink, hull the strawberries, add cream, add sugar, blend, serve and wash.
I bought cauliflower again. Nice, full, fresh, white, crisp...boring, boring and boring. I can eat it no problem once or twice in a row. Third time...I don't think so. I should have thought about it when at the market. But a little voice was telling me: eat more cabbage, eat more cabbage.
I have been wondering when and if I would want to talk about crepes. The crepes that we have had every Sunday morning for the last 5 years, give or take a year.
